As part of our @craftwork4all , our very first Portuguese Craft Lab took place on the beautiful Atlantic island of Porto Santo 🏝️🇵🇹— and it was all about creativity, community, and sustainability.
A beautiful recent example of our vision in action, this Upcycling Craft Lab ♻️brought together professional crafter and artist and fantastic art teacher Dalila Peixe @dalilapeixe and local students creating a unique space for creative exchange.

During the project “Infodemic – Path to Wellness” training, participants laughed a lot — and as we know, laughter heals. 💛

✨ Inspired by our project ART TERRA π (co-funded by Erasmus+), our Lithuanian partner Tavo Europa @tavoeuropa successfully adapted and hosted the workshop “My Home”, developed during the training in Madeira.

Using coffee as a creative medium, 20 psychologists explored the emotional dimensions of home through art therapy tools designed within the project.

When nature took an unexpected turn and a storm forced us to cancel our planned beach cleanup, we didn’t let it dampen our spirits! Instead, we engaged in a dynamic session of The PLANET4B Food-Governance Game – an innovative role-playing experience that put us in the shoes of farmers, consumers, and policymakers.

🔹 As part of the “Green Islands” Youth Exchange on Porto Santo, co-funded by Erasmus+, this session allowed participants to explore the complexities of sustainable food systems, biodiversity, and environmental policies in an engaging and thought-provoking way.

🔹 The game, a result of the collaboration between ARTE.M (Portugal) @arte.m.association Culture GoesEurope @cgeerfurt (Germany), sparked intense debates, strategic decision-making, and deep reflections on the real-world challenges of sustainability. 🌿♻️

🌍👕 Porto Santo’s 🇵🇹First-Ever Clothing Swap Party
History was made on Porto Santo as our youth exchange “Green islands” hosted the island’s first-ever swap party! 🎉🌱 20 participants, local school - @escolas_porto_santo students, Young Folks 🇱🇻@erasmusyf @arte.m.association and island residents joined forces to prove that fashion can be fun, stylish, and sustainable!
💚♻️Instead of buying new clothes, we exchanged and repurposed, taking a step toward reducing waste and embracing eco-friendly fashion choices. The energy was amazing—laughter, new outfits, and a shared commitment to sustainability!
💚 A huge shoutout to the Anti-Voque RECOLOUR @anti_voquerecolour project for inspiring us with sustainable fashion strategies!

🌿 This initiative was made possible with the support of the Municipality of Porto Santo @municipio.portosanto and Porto Santo Biosphere Reserve, and was co-financed by the Erasmus+ program @erasmusmaisja supporting young people in making a difference for the planet.

♻️ Did you know that plastic waste can circle the globe before breaking down into tiny particles that end up in our food chain? 😱 It’s time to take action! 🌍🐠
As part of the «Green Islands” project, our participants together with @arte.m.association Escola BS PE C Professor Dr. Francisco de Freitas Branco @escolas_porto_santo Porto Santo Young Folks @erasmusyf had an eye-opening session on marine litter – specially prepared for us by experts and marine biologists from Direção Regional do Ambiente e Mar.
We explored the shocking journey of ocean trash, from local shores to global currents, and discussed the alarming impact of microplastics on marine life, human health, and the planet as a whole. 🌎💙
A huge THANK YOU to the amazing specialists who shared their knowledge and passion for ocean conservation. We are also grateful to the Municipality of Porto Santo @municipio.portosanto and Whale Heritage Area Madeira @wha.madeira for their support and for helping organize project activities.
